So I havent written in a while. Please forgive me for that. I've been rather busy doing random and fun things. I've been re-reading the twilight series but thats even been slow going. Hanging out with everyone is tiring, lol. We have been shopping for halloween costumes, coloring in our coloring books, playing disney sing it on xbox, dying hair, knitting scarves, had Jaclyns birthday, gone to the parks (still havent done animal kingdom yet), monkey in the middle, laying out by the pool, going to water parks and so many other things.

Ive also been hanging out a lot with this kid I met in my adventureland training group. His name is luke and he is a jungle cruise skipper. In fact, we are going to EPCOT tonight. Im super excited because living with the land has just reopened! and I havent been on test track yet!!

Pirates is going well. I've been getting good hours and havent killed anyone yet, so thats really a plus. We just had our costumes changed....instead of wearing long pants we now have to wear short pants and stripped socks. We dont offically change over till October 18th so im holding out till then.

Snow white and the 7 dwarfs comes out today!!!! SO SO SO EXCITED!

Working is my life. I may need a new

Im starting to realize that people who update their blogs all the time seem to have more interesting lives than I do. Im not saying that I never do anything but I seem to not care to record it as much? Im not sure but it is rather more fun to do than remember.

Yesterday I had a very productive day with Cait. We went to property control but didnt get much (i got a hair towel). We went to the pool and got a tan while we did our laundry (yay for multitasking) and then we decided to get some sonic for lunch. Turns out that all the sonics in the sourrounding area have closed and died. We drove FOREVER and didnt find a single one! We ended up at panda express and Joey met me, Cait and Matt there.

Today went pretty much the same. Cait and I went to see Matt at animal kingdom since he is being deployed to epcot for the food and wine fest. Then we went to property control (I have a weakness for cheap disney things, haha). Then I was off to work.

My boring work life.

So I have been working crazily. (Yes Sarah, I know that isnt a word.) Ive been working anywhere from 6-12 hours a day. Pirates is SCARY. I havent been part of an evac yet (I missed it the other day by a few hours). But just going down is a little terrifying.

I have been doing randomly fun things. Last night we went resort pool hopping. It was random and amazingly fun. We also got to watch wishes from the pool which was a really cool experience.

Yesterday

So yesterday Brittany and I went to the Magic Kingdom and it was amazing. We did a few rides before this HUGE storm came up. We got to ride Big Thunder Railroad in the rain which is something I'd never done before. Then we went and saw my roommate Kari at work in Fantasyland. She was working at the Winnie the Pooh ride. It started to rain pretty badly so we decided to go on philharmagic (cause its all indoors). About half way through the show the sound cut out and the screen went red. Disney had a lightning strike to close and the rides went into automatic shut down. I am SO glad that I was not working. I probably would have cried.

Anyways after that the park was emptying out so Brittany and I went home to dry off and warm up. We also had a bit of game night at the girls (Justine, Casey, Caroline and Cathrine) apartment. It was Matt, Lauren, Evan, Caroline, Joey, his ladyfriend Jenny, Me, Amanda, Brittany and a few others joined later. We played Marry, Date or Dump and Catch Phrase.

Off to work tomorrow. And the cast preview of the Mickey's not so scary halloween party!

My check out, disney weekend and first day of work by myself

So the other day was my check out and I passed! Hurray! I was a little mad because I had prepared so well to meet the managers and when I did they didnt even ask me anything! They asked if I was an Alumni and I said yes and he goes "oh well then I guess you are good to go!"

On my Disney weekend...which was Friday and Saturday all of my roommates plus Luke, his roommate Brandon, Evan, Joey, some of joey's friends and Matt went to Jellyrolls. Jellyrolls is a dueling piano bar on the boardwalk of the beach hotel. It was really fun! We had the guy sing Britney Spears to two of our roommates (Britney and Maria) since it was their birthday.

The next day Luke, Maria, Britney, Kari, Meagan, Amanda and I had decided to go to Typhoon Lagoon since it will be closing in October-ish. It was a really fun time. We went on the water coaster and swam with sharks!

Yesterday was my first day of work all by myself! I did every position and it was FABULOUS!!! I didnt mess up and when I was in tower there were no mess ups!!! Im really excited about it!!

Day 2 of training

OMG so there are RATS and other crawley things back there. AHHHH!! I can't reall say much about what Im learning but it is seriously intense. I had to make myself a cheat sheet. I am so afraid someone will kill themselves. AND I hate talking to people and thats basically all I do all day long!

Its so different from my last college program where I had very little guest interaction. I almost think vacation planning was MUCH easier. There were so fewer things that I had to memorize. Im very overwhelmed with how much responsibility we have and how short we are trained for. Its almost scary how much they expect but from a business stand point, I understand it.

Ok, more tomorrow...im super tired and Life with Derek is on.

Day 2

So today was my orientation to the Magic Kingdom. It was a little boring because I knew a bit about the park. OOH I am working as a pirate! Thats pretty exciting. Tomorrow I have to work 7-4 again but doing mostly computer stuff. Im kinda looking forward to it.

Amanda and I just went on a walk around Patterson because we were a little bored and no one was really around to hang out with. Any ways we played the liscense plate game where we walked around and found different or lonely liscense plates. South Dakota was the strangest one we saw tonight.

Well there is this awesome lifetime movie on about being accepted to ivy league schools. Amanda and I are kinda loving it...more tomorrow after training
