Is it over yet?

Ok so as a senior at Meredith, we are forced to often reflect on our experiences here. I feel as though Meredith was not the right school for me. At the time when I was choosing schools, it seemed perfect. However I have found a good majority of people at Meredith to be superficial and rather annoying. My sister wants to attend Meredith and I have tried my hardest to talk her out of it. Short of my professors, the people that I have dealt with here at lazy, un-caring and rather rude. I did have fabulous professors though. The education department is absolute CRAP. I have seen what they did to my genius roommate and it is simply uncalled for. But enough about my terrible college. I will soon be gone and will hopefully only remember the good.

I have finals tomorrow, which Ive already mentioned, however I can not make myself prepare for them. I am sure I will regret this tomorrow during the exam, but still. I feel like there is no sense is making myself crazy since I technically already have a degree. What a lazy thought.

Empire State College is driving me CRAZY. I requested a transcript 3 weeks ago. Well...it never showed up at Meredith. Empire said that they never received a request. I sent another request in and still no transcript. I finally wrote a scathing email to the woman and she goes "oh we never had your grade to mail the transcript out". HUGE LIE. I had been checking my unoffical transcript online and the grade (an A) had been posted for a month. Plus I got a letter last week that said congradulations on making an A in your online empire college class. What a dumb lady.

I miss Disney World

So I spent my last week in Disney World. It was an amazing break from school and I love hanging out with my family. Unfortunately I am now unable to make myself do any work!

My finals begin this week and go as follows:
Tuesday: Present my research paper on non compete agreements
Wednesday: Business Policy 2-3:30 (5 one page essays)
Business Policy presentation on Capstone 4:45-5:30

Thursday: Present my research paper on employee tuition assistance
Friday: NOTHING!!
Saturday: English (I am trying to get this changed so I can go to Jesse's graduation)
Sunday: None!
Monday: Organizational Behavior

My birthday

My birthday was rather ho-hum this year. My family doesn't get in till next week, so no presents (except the ones I bought for myself). I went shopping with my aunt which was ok, but nothing great. Then I got home and my roommate took me out to target (Easter sales!!) and then to dinner at Chilis. I got a lemon drop martini (YUM!!) but it was like drinking straight alcohol. goodness I was tipsy after a few sips! so we sent it back to get a watered down version since I was the one driving. Anyways, after 5 or so my birthday was rather fun but then I got a text message from an ex I haven't spoken to in 2 years. Apperently my birthday is a good time to discuss our failed relationship. My birthday is always like walking in the graveyard of my past relationships.

In Disney news, I will be leaving this Saturday and I can't wait! I deserve this much needed break. I had an awesome dream about living in Disney again with all of my chosen apartment mates. It gives me good hope that we can work this all out and become apartment-mates. I can't wait for August 19th!!

How in the world did I do it?

So today it really hit me. I am 1 essay and 6 finals away from being a college graduate. HOLY CRAP. I somehow managed to not only graduate with a psychology degree but also got my business degree (god willing I pass all my finals). How did I manage to do it? How did I motivate myself? I honestly have no idea. One day at a time, one assignment at a time and daily pep talks about how much it would be worth it (and whining on here quite a bit).

I feel so light in realizing this. I have been stressed out and crazy with work for so long that by being done, i feel useless and lazy. I have one more essay on a streetcar named desire and I have to edit 4 essay tomorrow. It should be stressful but once it is done I am leaving to go to my aunt's house and then Cape Hatteras for the weekend and my birthday. My birthday is on Monday, however my aunt has to work so I will be hanging out in my dorm room watching movies and stuff.

I also really want to go see Hannah Montanna: The movie, but no one will see it with me, haha. I need to be closer to Amanda so someone will go see these things with me and NOT mock me like Sarah does.

bye bye last two years of my life...

So yesterday my AWESOME computer died and I lost everything. I lost all of my music and pictures from the past 2 years of my life. It really hurts to think about, but of course it could be worse. I had turned in most of my major projects for the end of the year, so thank god for that.
However, I lost ALL of my notes on every subject I have taken and that hurts too. I only have to redo 5 assignments, which thankfully aren't due until later in the semester.

Recap of my week

So on Monday and Tuesday I had my live Disney presentations. They went really well, we met our flow goal which is what we aim for all the time. I even managed to recruit some girls from Peace, so I was rather proud of myself. Then on Wednesday I went to give presentations on what it means to be a campus representative for the Disney College Program. I can't believe this week is over, it honestly felt endless. I had so much to do that it was ridiculous!!

This upcoming week will be very nice after Monday. I have a presentation on the president of the Disney Channel. I HATE giving presentations so this is not at all fun for me. However, after Monday I have no big projects due or tests this week!! It's a free week and then I am off somewhere fun for Easter and my birthday!!

I have no job for the summer. While that isn't entirely true. I have my job at the nursing home, I just don't want to go back to that. I would really like to do an internship in Human Resources over the summer but unfortunately it doesn't look like that will work out.
